WHO I AM

My inclination towards art in all its forms has always fascinated me, leading me first to dance, then to music, and finally to painting.

My educational path was quite varied. I graduated from a language high school to please my mother, an English teacher, but then decided to follow in the footsteps of my father, a surveyor, graduated in architecture, who led our family’s construction company. This is where I began to cultivate my true passion: design, meaning the planning of everything that orbits around humans. I enrolled in my first master’s degree in Interior Architecture at the Scuola Politecnica di Design, then at IED for Light Design and Retail Design, aiming to offer professional expertise centered on human needs, spanning from the domestic environment to the retail and hospitality sectors.

My real fortune was growing up on construction sites, breathing in the atmosphere from a young age and understanding the dynamics, including the importance of a team: specialized workers, carpenters, blacksmiths, glassmakers… All figures who, when carefully selected, become essential in offering the client a turnkey, high-level, and specifically CUSTOM product. In my view, living and working in an environment tailored to us, respecting the parameters of physical and functional comfort, is the foundation for a good quality of life.

What must a client have to apply this concept to themselves and their life? Not necessarily a significant amount of capital to invest, but certainly a good dose of COURAGE and a WILLINGNESS TO GET INVOLVED by daring with colors, materials, and shapes!

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME

Once you’ve acquired the necessary courage to begin the transformation of your human-scaled space, it’s crucial to carefully evaluate the costs. Not because it’s strictly necessary to invest large sums, but on the contrary, to avoid unnecessary expenses that are often regretted later.
In this regard, the first question you should ask yourself is: HOW MUCH DO I WANT TO CHANGE?
There are different levels of change and, consequently, different levels of budget required for the work.

interior decorating 25%

This is a non-invasive intervention on the structural level, this means it maintains the same spatial layout but focuses on the "skin" of our environment. Although often looked down upon by us "trained professionals," interior decorating is quite complex due exactly to its limited scope of action. To approach this kind of activity, you need a vast knowledge of current market technologies and materials, the history of modern and contemporary design, lighting design and color semiotics, market research, and, of course, a healthy dose of good taste. The goal is to achieve a high-quality result that keeps costs in check and obviously satisfies the client while guiding him/her towards the truly necessary purchases, from functional to aesthetic.

interior design 50%

While in the interior decorating activity you might only meet a small part of my team, in this second possibility we'll all have fun. Interior design involves a true rethinking of the internal layout and, to do this, you need to demolish and then rebuild. The possibilities for creative play increase, and the environment changes radically without going beyond the confined indoor space. In this case, the project costs clearly increase in proportion to the nature of the work and the building itself. It goes without saying that recently built spaces will have lower renovation costs compared to spaces in historic buildings, where load-bearing walls, vaults, window dimensions, room heights, etc., are variables that impact the total expense.

Architecture & Renovation 75%

The HUMAN SCALE touches the urban one. In this sense, integrated design moves beyond the enclosed space of the home and extends to the entire living context—the surroundings and the landscape. The renovation project will consider not only the confined indoor environment but also the building's exterior, its colors and their impact on the outdoors, private horizontal and vertical greenery, and shared spaces.

New Construction 100%

The future lies first and foremost in the intelligent recovery of the past. Therefore, unless the existence of specific needs, I generally do not agree with undertaking new private and/or public building projects, given the enormous architectural heritage of our country that must be absolutely recovered and re-valued. Following this reasoning, if we can avoid building from scratch, we have already saved 25%!

RETAIL DESIGN

Experience and the Phygital Revolution

The design of commercial spaces, thanks to the pandemic variable, has changed both physically and psychologically. The inability to shop at physical stores has drawn an ever-growing number of users to e-commerce, even though the human experience found in showrooms cannot be satisfied online.
Our design proposal, linked to the third industrial revolution, is PHYGITAL: the creation of real commercial spaces supported by virtual tools. This is a highly technological shopping experience, yet it is characterized by real emotions, thanks to the use of technologies like augmented reality, expertly modeled and customized according to the product, brand, and final customers.

A brand renovation in these terms can be global—physical and virtual space—or, if a good real-world base already exists, it will be essential to create a virtual sales space that can guide the customer on a unique and unforgettable journey.

HOSPITALITY

Our B&D Proposal

A close relative of residential design is the study of indoor environments dedicated to the hospitality sector, with particular attention to the growing demand for short-term rentals.
These properties must be pleasant, comfortable, and specifically equipped according to the target audience they aim to attract.
The hospitality sector, in fact, extends far beyond the pure concept of traditional hotel stays, intersecting with the idea of inclusive residential spaces: the thoughtful renovation of second homes can become a potential source of future income, even in locations that are often considered less attractive from a tourist perspective.
The demand for temporary homes—chosen for short work trips, for their proximity to specialized healthcare facilities, to attend events or weddings, and many other everyday needs—is increasingly frequent, while the standard hotel solution is becoming less appealing as it is less dynamic and more restrictive than these new options.
In these contexts, daring is a must if you want to achieve that WOW effect that guarantees appeal and uniqueness in the eyes of the guest.
Here’s what we offer: a turnkey package that can start from the design and renovation and extend to the property’s management through the B&D formula: Bed and Dezign.

DESIGN & WORK

A new welcoming style

It goes without saying how much of our lives are spent within the walls of our workplaces, and therefore how crucial it is for them to align with our psycho-physical well-being needs.
Just as in residential spaces, when renovating workplaces, it is necessary to carefully evaluate the use of materials, lights, and colors. This involves professionally considering all aspects related to the type of systems and the energy impact our building envelope has on the environment and our wallets, in order to guide the choice toward the most efficient products available on the market today.
The first, and most important, investment for our work environment? Without a doubt, well-being—that state that allows us to improve the quality of our daily lives and, consequently, to approach our work activities in a more high-performing way.
